Walking
From Kintetsu Nara Station, Sagi Pond is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Head south towards Nara Park, and continue along the main path. The pond will be on your right, past the Nara National Museum. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
Take the Nara City Loop Bus and disembark at the Daibutsu-den Kasuga Taisha-mae bus stop. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to Sagi Pond. A single bus ride costs 250 yen. Alternatively, a 1-Day Pass for central Nara costs 600 yen.
Taxi
Taxis are available from both JR Nara Station and Kintetsu Nara Station. A taxi ride from either station to Sagi Pond will take approximately 5-10 minutes and cost around 1,100 yen. The base fare for a small taxi in Nara is 660 yen for the first 1.5 kilometers, with an additional 90 yen every 307 meters.
