Bus and Walking
To reach Yokogawa Valley from Miyanoura Port or Anbo, take a bus bound for Nagata. From Miyanoura Port, the bus ride to Nagata takes approximately 1 hour and costs around ¥920. From Anbo Port, the ride is longer. Get off at the Nakanobashi bus stop, which is the closest stop to Yokogawa Valley. From there, walk approximately 1.6 km uphill to the valley entrance. Be aware that buses do not operate along the western coast.

Car
If driving from Miyanoura (where the ferry from Kagoshima arrives), follow Route 78 west towards Nagata. The drive takes about 30 minutes from Miyanoura or 50 minutes from the airport. In Nagata, follow the signs for Yokogawa Valley, which will lead you to the entrance with a small parking lot. Be aware that the roads leading into the island's interior can be narrow and winding. Parking is free.
