From Yamanashishi Station, walk north along Route 140. After approximately 1.5km, turn right onto the road that leads to Manriki Park. The Animal Plaza is located in the center of the park.
Public Transport

Take the Yamanashi City Loop Bus from Yamanashishi Station and get off at the Manriki Park stop. The Animal Plaza is a short walk from the bus stop. The loop bus fare is approximately ¥200.

Manriki Park Animal Plaza, nestled within the expansive Manriki Park in Yamanashi City, offers a delightful and free experience for visitors of all ages. Other animals include raccoons, maras, peacocks, squirrels, rabbits, and goats. The park is designed to allow visitors to get close to the animals, with viewing areas that provide excellent perspectives.Manriki Park itself is a sprawling urban oasis, featuring lawns, picnic areas, and walking trails, making it a perfect destination for a day out. The park also has historical significance, with connections to the famous warlord Takeda Shingen, who implemented flood control measures in the area. The park's name, Manriki, reflects the idea of "all people joining forces to build a strong embankment," highlighting the community's commitment to protecting the land.The Animal Plaza is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM between April and October, and until 4:30 PM from November to March. It is closed on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday) and during the New Year period.
