It is about a 45-minute hike uphill to reach The Monastery, so be prepared with water and comfortable footwear.

To get to The Monastery using public transportation, you can take a bus or shared taxi from Wadi Hasa to Petra. The journey takes about 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Petra Visitor Center, you will still need to hike to The Monastery.
