Scenic Serenity at the Missouri River Viewing Deck

Getting There

• Bus

  If you are starting from downtown Kansas City, locate the nearest bus stop for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA). You can catch the Route 24 bus heading towards 'Troost & 75th'. After about 10-15 minutes, get off at the 'Riverfront Heritage Trail' stop. From there, walk south along the trail until you reach the Missouri River Viewing Deck.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs available in downtown Kansas City. Head north on the Riverfront Heritage Trail, which runs alongside the Missouri River. Follow the trail for about 1 mile until you reach the Viewing Deck. The path is well-marked and scenic, offering great views of the river.

• Walking

  If you are within walking distance from downtown Kansas City, head towards the Riverfront Heritage Trail. Enter the trail at the nearest access point and walk along the path that runs parallel to the Missouri River. It’s approximately a 20-minute walk from the heart of downtown. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Missouri River Viewing Deck.

• Rideshare

  For a more direct route, use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply input 'Missouri River Viewing Deck' or 'Riverfront Heritage Trail, Kansas City, MO 64106' as your destination. The drivers are familiar with the area and will drop you off right near the Viewing Deck.
