Elizabethtown Nature Park: A Serene Escape into Nature

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Lexington, take I-64 W to I-75 S. Continue on I-75 S for about 60 miles until you reach the exit for I-65 S toward Nashville. After approximately 60 miles, take exit 94 for Elizabethtown. Merge onto US-62 W and then turn right onto Ring Rd. Continue on Ring Rd for about 2 miles; Elizabethtown Nature Park will be on your right at 1900 Ring Rd, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. Parking is free at the park.

• Car

  From Louisville, take I-65 S toward Elizabethtown. After driving for about 40 miles, take exit 94 for Elizabethtown. Merge onto US-62 W and then turn right onto Ring Rd. Continue for roughly 2 miles; the park will be on your right at 1900 Ring Rd. Parking is available at no cost.

• Public Transportation

  Currently, there is no direct public transportation from larger cities to Elizabethtown Nature Park. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to Elizabethtown. Once you arrive at the Elizabethtown bus station, you may need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach the park, which is about 5 miles away. Expect to pay around $10-$15 for the rideshare.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, Elizabethtown is accessible via local cycling routes from nearby towns. If you are coming from the center of Elizabethtown, head south on Dixie Ave, then take a left on Ring Rd. Continue for about 1.5 miles; the park will be on your left. Remember to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
