Start at the Louisville Downtown area. Take the TARC bus Route 18 (Hikes Lane) from the Downtown Transit Center. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at Hikes Lane and Breckenridge Lane. From there, transfer to TARC Route 36 (Cedar Grove) and continue until you reach the stop at Dixie Highway and Paralee Drive. Once you disembark, Waverly Hills Sanatorium is located about a 15-minute walk (0.7 miles) away. Head north on Paralee Drive; the sanatorium will be on your left at 4400 Paralee Dr.

Bicycle
Begin your journey at the Louisville Waterfront Park. Head west on Riverwalk until you reach the Big Four Bridge. Cross the bridge into Jeffersonville, Indiana, and take the path to East Main Street. Follow East Main which becomes North Shore Drive. Continue onto the George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge, returning to Louisville. Bike along River Road until you reach the intersection with Dixie Highway. Turn right onto Dixie Highway and follow it south until you reach Paralee Drive, then take a left. Waverly Hills Sanatorium will be on your right at 4400 Paralee Dr.
