Bicycle
If you're in Diani Beach, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start by heading north along Diani Beach Road. Keep an eye out for direction signs. Continue cycling straight for about 25 kilometers, enjoying the coastal views. As you approach the Nyali area, you will see the beach on your right. Look for entrances to Nyali Beach where you can park your bicycle and enjoy the sandy shores.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
You can easily hire a boda boda from any point in Diani Beach. Just tell the rider you want to go to Nyali Beach. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. The rider will take you along Diani Beach Road, crossing the Likoni Ferry. After crossing, the rider will continue towards Nyali. Keep an eye out for the beach on your left as you approach. Ask the rider to drop you off at the main entrance to Nyali Beach.
Walking
If you prefer walking, start from your current location in Diani Beach. Head towards the main road (Diani Beach Road) and walk north. The distance is quite long, approximately 25 kilometers, so it's advisable to take breaks and stay hydrated. As you walk, you will pass several landmarks. Once you reach Nyali, you can ask locals for the nearest access point to Nyali Beach.
Public Transport (Matatu)
Look for a matatu (shared taxi) at any local matatu stage in Diani Beach. Board a matatu heading towards Mombasa. Inform the conductor that you wish to get off at Nyali Beach. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, walk towards the beach access points nearby. There will typically be signs directing you to the beach.
