Getting There

  • Car

    From your current location in Lake Nakuru National Park, head towards the main park road. Follow the signs leading you towards the park exit. Once you reach the park exit, continue driving on the A104 highway towards Nakuru city. After about 10 kilometers, you will see signs for Nakuru indicating to take a left turn. Continue on this road for approximately 5 kilometers, and you will arrive in the vicinity of Kayo, located in Nakuru. Ensure you have cash for any park exit fees, which typically costs around 500 KES for residents and 1,200 KES for non-residents.

    If you are using public transportation, exit Lake Nakuru National Park at the main gate. At the park gate, look for matatus (shared taxis) heading towards Nakuru city. These matatus frequently depart and will take you directly to Nakuru town. The fare is usually around 100 KES. Once in Nakuru town, you can ask for directions to Kayo, which is a popular area. You may have to take another matatu or taxi from the town center to get closer to your specific destination in Kayo.
