If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park. Follow the signs directing you towards Bungoma. Continue on the main road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for GHVV+4J2. Turn left at the junction and follow the road for another 2 kilometers until you see Buteyo Miti Park on your right. Ensure you have a map app or GPS for precise navigation.

Public Transportation
To reach Buteyo Miti Park via public transport, you should first take a matatu (shared taxi) from the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park to Bungoma town. The fare is approximately 100 KES per person. Upon arriving in Bungoma, look for another matatu heading towards GHVV+4J2 or Buteyo Miti Park. This journey will cost around 50 KES and takes roughly 30 minutes. Ensure you inform the driver that you want to be dropped off at Buteyo Miti Park.

If you are staying nearby and prefer to walk, you can hike to Buteyo Miti Park from the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park. The distance is about 15 kilometers on foot.
