From the city center of Nakuru, head east on Kenyatta Avenue towards the intersection with Uhuru Park Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Moi Avenue. Turn left onto Moi Avenue and walk until you reach the Nakuru General Post Office. From the post office, you will take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or matatu (shared minibus) towards Hyrax Hill. Ensure to inform the driver of your destination.

After reaching the Nakuru General Post Office, look for a nearby boda boda stand. Negotiate a fare with the rider, which should be around 100-200 Kenyan Shillings. The boda boda will take you directly to Hyrax Hill. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. As you approach Hyrax Hill, keep an eye out for the signage leading to the archaeological site.

Alternatively, from the Nakuru General Post Office, you can catch a matatu heading towards the Bahati area. Board the matatu and inform the conductor that you are going to Hyrax Hill. The fare will be around 50-100 Kenyan Shillings. You will need to get off at the nearest stop, and then you may have to walk the remaining distance (approximately 1 kilometer) to the site. Follow the main road until you see the signs for Hyrax Hill.
