Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Watamu, head south on the main road (Malindi-Watamu Road) towards Malindi. Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction for Mida Creek. Turn left onto Mida Creek Road. Follow the road for about 1 kilometer, and Rock and Sea Watamu will be on your right, near the waterfront. Look for the sign at the entrance leading to the resort.

  • Public Transportation (Matatus)

    From the center of Watamu, locate a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Malindi. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Mida Creek. The fare is approximately 50-100 KES per person. After about 10 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Mida Creek. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1 kilometer) or take a short boda-boda (motorbike taxi) ride to Rock and Sea Watamu, which should cost around 100-200 KES.

    If you prefer to walk from the center of Watamu, head towards the Malindi-Watamu Road and follow the same route as described for driving. It is about a 1-hour walk (5 kilometers) to Rock and Sea Watamu. Once you reach the Mida Creek junction, continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you see the resort on your right.
