Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Peja. Head southwest on the main road (Rruga Lidhja e Pejës) towards the direction of the Rugova Canyon. Continue for about 5 km until you reach a junction. Keep following the signs for 'Rugova' and 'Gryka e Rugovës'. Once you reach the entrance of the Rugova Gorge, you'll find parking areas available. The ravine is just a short walk from the parking area. Ensure that your vehicle is capable of handling mountain roads.
Public Transportation
To reach Gryka e Rugovës via public transportation, begin at the main bus station in Peja. Take a bus heading towards Rugova, which typically departs every hour. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to Gryka e Rugovës, which is usually near the entrance of the Rugova Gorge. From there, it’s a short walk to the ravine. Be mindful of the return schedule, as buses may have limited service later in the day.
Walking
If you are already in the Rugova area, you may choose to walk to Gryka e Rugovës. Start from the Rugova Gorge entrance, where you'll find well-marked trails leading towards the ravine. The hike is moderate, taking around 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and carry water, as the terrain can be uneven and steep in some sections.
