Tuk-Tuk
To reach the Kuang Si Butterfly Park, you can hire a tuk-tuk from the center of Luang Prabang. Head towards the main street, Sisavangvong Road, where you will find numerous tuk-tuk drivers. Negotiate a fare (typically around 50,000 to 100,000 LAK round trip) and ask them to take you to 'Kuang Si Butterfly Park' located in Ban Long. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes, and the drivers generally know the location well.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many shops in Luang Prabang. Start your journey on Sisavangvong Road heading south. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto the road towards Kuang Si Waterfall, which is well-marked. Follow this road for about 25 kilometers. You will see signs for the Kuang Si Butterfly Park along the way. It’s advisable to start early in the morning to avoid the midday heat.

Walking directly to Kuang Si Butterfly Park from the town center is not practical due to the distance (approximately 25 kilometers). However, you can walk to a nearby tuk-tuk station on Sisavangvong Road and take a tuk-tuk to the park. Alternatively, if you are near the Mekong River, you can enjoy the scenic views along the riverbank until you reach the main road leading to the park.

Motorbike Rental
For the more adventurous, consider renting a motorbike. You can rent one from various shops in the city. From the center of Luang Prabang, head south on Sisavangvong Road, and then turn left onto the road to Kuang Si Waterfall. Continue for about 25 kilometers, and keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Kuang Si Butterfly Park. Ensure you wear a helmet and drive safely, as the roads can be busy.
