Walking
If you are starting from the center of Luang Prabang, head north on Sakkaline Road towards the Mekong River. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Phu Si Road. Turn left onto Phu Si Road and walk until you reach the entrance of Mount Phu Si. Continue walking straight past the mount, and you'll find yourself on the main road leading out of town. Keep walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign for Wat That Luang on your right. The temple is located on the corner of the road; look for the distinctive architecture of the temple as you approach.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many shops in the center of Luang Prabang. Start your journey by cycling north on Sakkaline Road. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Phu Si Road. Continue cycling until you see the entrance to Mount Phu Si, then proceed straight. After passing the mount, keep cycling straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating Wat That Luang on your right side. The temple will be visible as you approach.
