From Muang Xai, the capital of Oudomxay province, Namkat Waterfall is approximately a 1- to 2-hour drive. The most direct route is to head northeast on Route 13, then follow signs for the Nam Kat Yorlapa Eco-Tourism Project. Note that the road can be rough in places. Taxis or tuk-tuks can be hired in Muang Xai for a day trip. Expect to pay around 300,000-400,000 LAK for a round trip.
