Getting There

• Public Transport

  From the center of Cesis, head to the Cesis bus station located at Rīgas iela 36. Take a bus towards 'Drabeši' or 'Drabešu pag.', which usually departs every hour. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Dižozols' stop. From the bus stop, follow the marked walking path leading towards Dižozols, which is about a 15-minute walk straight ahead. Look for signs indicating the direction to Dižozols as you approach.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from the center of Cesis, start at the Cesis Old Castle, heading south on Rīgas iela. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rūpniecības iela. Turn left onto Rūpniecības iela and follow it until you reach the edge of town. From there, take the dirt path leading towards the forest. After about 2 kilometers, you will arrive at Dižozols. Ensure you have a map or GPS handy, as the path can be less defined, especially in wooded areas.

• Bike Rental

  You can rent a bicycle from local shops in Cesis. Once you have your bike, head towards the main road leading out of Cesis, following the cycling paths. Ride towards Drabeši parish, following the signs for Dižozols. The cycling distance is approximately 5 kilometers, and it should take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in the vicinity, park your bike and walk the remaining distance to Dižozols, which will be clearly marked.
