Ozolkalns, located in the picturesque Gauja National Park, near Cēsis, is one of Latvia's most popular ski resorts. Known for having some of the longest ski slopes in Latvia, Ozolkalns offers a variety of winter activities suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers and snowboarders. The resort features well-maintained slopes, with the longest stretching up to 500 meters, and a height difference of 80 meters. The natural terrain is preserved to enhance the adventurous feel, providing scenic views of the Gauja valley. Beyond skiing and snowboarding, Ozolkalns offers additional services such as equipment rental, ski and snowboard training, and a café-bistro. For relaxation, visitors can enjoy a sauna or stay in heated holiday cottages. In the non-skiing season, Ozolkalns becomes an outdoor activity center with hiking and mountain biking trails. Camping and picnic facilities are also available, making it a year-round destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Ozolkalns also features the “Supervāvere” adventure park, offering obstacle courses in the trees with views of the Gauja valley. The park includes over 60 obstacles, with some courses ending in a free fall and an extra-long cable descent of 250 meters. The Active Recreation Complex welcomes adults and children, families, friend companies, and couples, and is suitable for recreation in any season.
