Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Qurnat as Sawda' using public transport, begin at the main bus station in Bsharri. Look for a shared taxi (service) heading towards Qornayel. The fare is around 5,000 LBP per person. Upon arrival in Qornayel, you may need to wait for another shared taxi that goes to the base of Qurnat as Sawda'. This leg of the journey may take about 15-20 minutes and cost an additional 5,000 LBP. Inform the driver that you are going to Qurnat as Sawda' so they drop you off at the correct location. From the drop-off point, there is a short hike to the peak.

  • Car

    To reach Qurnat as Sawda' by car, drive northeast from Bsharri on the main road (Lebanon 3) towards Qornayel. Continue for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Qurnat as Sawda'. Turn left onto the well-marked road and drive for another 6 kilometers to reach the parking area at the base. Be aware that the road can be steep and winding. There might be a small parking fee. From the parking area, a hiking trail leads to the peak.
