Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Bcharre town square, where you'll find the main tourist information center. From the square, head northeast on the main road (Ain Zhalta Road). Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Qadisha Road. At the intersection, turn left onto Qadisha Road and follow the signs towards Qadisha Valley. As you walk, you'll enjoy the scenic views of the mountains and the valley. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach the entrance to the Qadisha Valley. This area is well-marked, and you should see signs indicating the way to the historical sites and the monastery.

  • Walking

    Once you enter the Qadisha Valley, you can take a footpath that leads you deeper into the valley. Follow the path along the river, which is a natural guide through the beautiful landscape. After about 1 kilometer of walking, you'll see the famous Monastery of Qadisha, which is built into the side of the cliff. The path may be steep at times, so wear comfortable shoes and take your time enjoying the surroundings. The monastery is a historical landmark and offers a unique experience of Lebanon's rich heritage.
