Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Deir el Qamar, head southeast on the main street (Al-Mahatta Street). Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the village's old souk. Turn left onto this road and walk for another 150 meters. You will see the entrance to the souk on your right. As you walk through the quaint market, continue straight until you reach the old clock tower. From there, take a right on the next street, and follow it for approximately 200 meters. The Deir el Qamar Synagogue will be on your left, marked by a small sign. You can also ask locals for directions to ensure you are on the right path.

    If you are near the Deir el Qamar Palace, exit the palace grounds and head north toward the main road. Cross the road and turn left. Walk along the main road for about 300 meters until you reach the entrance to the village's old souk. Turn right into the souk and walk straight through it. After exiting the souk, you will find yourself on a street that leads to the clock tower. Turn left at the clock tower and walk down the street for about 200 meters until you see the synagogue on your left.

    From the Deir el Qamar Visitor Center, exit the center and head east on the main road toward the village center. Continue for about 350 meters until you see a large stone fountain on your right. Turn right at the fountain and walk about 100 meters. You will reach the old marketplace; walk straight through the market. After exiting, turn right at the clock tower, then walk straight for 200 meters. The Deir el Qamar Synagogue will be on your left. Look out for the small sign marking the entrance.
