Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards the Dzukija National Park area. From Varėna, take the A4 road towards Merkinė. After about 20 km, you will arrive at the town of Merkinė. Once in Merkinė, look for signs directing you towards Merkinės Piramidė. The pyramid is located approximately 3 km from the town center, and you can follow the signs or use a GPS device set to the coordinates 54.1421517, 24.1983731. There is no entry fee to visit the pyramid itself.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Merkinės Piramidė using public transportation, first take a bus to Varėna from Vilnius or another nearby city. From Varėna, you can catch a local bus heading towards Merkinė. Buses run frequently, but it's advisable to check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Merkinė, you can either walk the remaining 3 km to the pyramid or consider using a local taxi service.
