Walking
If you are starting from the central area of Kaunas, such as the Town Hall Square (Rotušės aikštė), head east on Maironio Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Laisvės Alėja. Turn left onto Laisvės Alėja and walk for about 500 meters. At the end of Laisvės Alėja, you will reach the junction with Vytauto prospektas. Turn right onto Vytauto prospektas and walk straight for about 300 meters. You will see Kaunas Castle on your left at Pilies g. 17.

From the main bus station in Kaunas (Kauno autobusų stotis), board bus number 29 or 30. These buses run frequently and will take you towards the city center. Get off at the 'Pilies' stop, which is close to Kaunas Castle. From the bus stop, walk a short distance down Pilies Street, and you will see the castle directly ahead.

If you are near the main tram stops in Kaunas, take tram number 1 or 2. Ride the tram towards the city center and get off at the 'Maironio' stop. From there, walk east down Maironio Street until you reach Laisvės Alėja. Turn left and follow Laisvės Alėja until you reach Vytauto prospektas. Turn right and continue walking for about 300 meters. Kaunas Castle will be on your left at Pilies g. 17.
