Getting There

    From Vilnius city center, head to the Vilnius Bus Station (Vilniaus Autobusų Stotis). Purchase a ticket to Trakai at the ticket counter or vending machine. Board the bus heading to Trakai; buses leave frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Trakai Bus Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the Trakai Castle area, which is a 15-minute walk. From the castle, walk towards the lake, which is easily accessible.

    Make your way to Vilnius Train Station (Vilniaus Geležinkelio Stotis). Purchase a train ticket to Trakai, which departs every hour. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Trakai Train Station, exit and head towards Trakai Castle, which is a short 15-minute walk. After visiting the castle, you can walk to Lake Galve which is located nearby.
