From Vilnius city center, head to the bus station located at Maironio g. 12. You can take bus number 1 or 2 that goes to Trakai. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Trakai bus station, exit and walk straight ahead to the main road. Turn left onto Karaimų g. and continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach Trakai Island Castle, which will be directly ahead as you approach the lake.

Make your way to the Vilnius Train Station located at Geležinkelio g. 16. You can catch a train to Trakai, which departs regularly. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Trakai train station, exit and walk straight on Vytauto g. for about 10 minutes. Then turn right onto Karaimų g. Continue walking until you see Trakai Island Castle ahead.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Vilnius. Head towards the Neris River and follow the bike paths along the riverbank towards Trakai.
