Getting There

• Public Transit

  To reach Airline Highway Park via public transit, start by locating the nearest bus stop where you can catch the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) bus. If you are near downtown Baton Rouge, head to the bus stop at the intersection of Florida Street and 3rd Street. Take the CATS Bus Route 1 (Florida) towards the Mall of Louisiana. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes. You will need to get off at the stop near the intersection of Airline Highway and Old Hammond Highway. From there, walk south along Airline Highway for about 10 minutes, and you will reach Airline Highway Park at 16072 Airline Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70817.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from a local bike-sharing program available in Baton Rouge. Start at the nearest bike station and head towards the Airline Highway. Use the bike lanes along the main roads. From downtown Baton Rouge, you can bike along Government Street heading east, then connect to the Airline Highway. The ride may take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. Upon reaching Airline Highway Park, you can lock your bike at the designated bike rack near the park entrance.

• Walking

  For those who are within walking distance, you can find your way to Airline Highway Park by heading towards Airline Highway. If you are near the Mall of Louisiana, walk towards the Airline Highway and head north along the sidewalk. It’s about a 20-30 minute walk depending on your starting point. Follow the pedestrian paths and ensure to cross at designated crosswalks for safety. Once you reach 16072 Airline Hwy, you will find the entrance to Airline Highway Park.
