If you are in downtown Baton Rouge, start at the Louisiana State Capitol located at 900 North 3rd Street. From the Capitol, head south on North 3rd Street until you reach Convention Street. Turn left onto Convention Street and walk east until you reach the intersection with River Road. Turn right onto River Road, and continue walking south. After about a 10-minute walk, you will see Mississippi River Park on your left at 299 River Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70801.

From the Baton Rouge Bus Terminal located at 1253 Florida Blvd, take the CATS bus route 11 (Florida to St. Francisville) in the direction of the LSU Campus. Get off at the stop near 3rd Street and Florida Blvd. From there, walk south on North 3rd Street until you reach Convention Street. Turn left onto Convention Street, then turn right onto River Road. Walk south for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Mississippi River Park at 299 River Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70801.
