If you're traveling by car, start from the center of New Orleans and head northeast on US-61 N. Continue for about 4 miles and then take the exit for I-610 E toward Slidell. After about 2 miles, take the exit toward City Park Avenue. Continue on City Park Avenue for approximately 1 mile until you reach the entrance to City Park. Once inside the park, look for signs directing you to Goldfish Island. There is no direct road to the island, so you will have to park nearby and walk to the island. Be sure to check for any parking fees at the park entrance, typically around $5-$10 depending on the duration of your stay.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take the RTA bus #91 from downtown New Orleans. Board the bus at the stop near Canal Street and take it towards the City Park Avenue stop. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the City Park Avenue stop, you will need to walk about 0.5 miles into City Park to reach Goldfish Island. Keep in mind that the bus fare is approximately $1.25 per ride, and consider getting a day pass if you plan to use public transport multiple times.

If you're feeling adventurous, consider biking to Goldfish Island. You can rent a bike from one of the local shops in New Orleans. From the city center, take the Lafitte Greenway trail, which will lead you to City Park. The ride is about 3 miles long and takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
