    From the French Quarter, walk to the nearest streetcar stop on Chartres Street. Board the Riverfront streetcar heading towards the French Market. Ride for two stops and transfer to the Canal Street streetcar at the Canal Street stop. Ride the Canal Street streetcar for about 10 stops until you reach the 'Esplanade Avenue' stop. Exit and walk east on Esplanade Avenue for about 5 minutes to reach the Degas House at 2306 Esplanade Ave.

  • Public Bus

    Locate the nearest bus stop on Decatur Street near Jackson Square. Take the RTA bus #5 towards 'Tremé/ Lafitte'. Ride for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the 'Esplanade Ave @ N Claiborne Ave' stop.
