Getting There

Bus
From Slidell, head to the nearest bus stop on Gause Blvd. Take the 'JeT' bus route that goes to New Orleans. You will need to transfer at the 'Slidell Transit Center' to the 'New Orleans' route. Once you are on the New Orleans bus, stay on until you reach the 'Esplanade Ave & Chartres St' stop. From there, walk straight down Esplanade Ave for about 5 minutes, and you will find the New Orleans Jazz Museum at 400 Esplanade Ave on your left.

Train
Walk to the Slidell Amtrak station located at 100 Front St. Take the train towards New Orleans. The trip will take about 1 hour. Upon arrival at the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, exit the station and head towards the bus stop outside. Take the local bus headed to 'French Quarter' and get off at 'Esplanade Ave & Chartres St'. From there, walk down Esplanade Ave for about 5 minutes to reach the New Orleans Jazz Museum.

Bicycle
If you are comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike rental shop in Slidell. Start by heading west on Gause Blvd, then take a left onto Robert Rd. Continue until you reach the intersection with Interstate 10. Use the bike path to cross the bridge towards New Orleans. Once across, follow the bike lanes to Esplanade Ave. Continue straight until you reach 400 Esplanade Ave, which is the New Orleans Jazz Museum.

Walking
If you are near the Slidell library, you can walk to the ferry terminal located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Take the ferry to New Orleans, which will give you a beautiful view during the ride. Once you arrive, head towards Canal St. and take a right onto Chartres St. Continue walking until you reach Esplanade Ave, then take a left. The New Orleans Jazz Museum will be on your right at 400 Esplanade Ave.
