Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Luxembourg's central train station (Gare), head southwest on Av. de la Liberté toward Rue du Fort. Continue straight until you reach the Place de la Gare (approximately 10 minutes). From there, take the bus number 10 or 11 towards 'Luxembourg, Hamilius' and get off at the 'Luxembourg, Hamilius' stop. Walk straight towards the Rue des Capucins. Continue on Rue des Capucins until you reach the viewpoint at 'Chemin de la Corniche'. From the viewpoint, follow the path down to the Grund area. Once you reach the bottom, continue straight onto Rue Plaetis; the Melusina Statue will be on your right after a short walk.

    If you are in the city center (Place d'Armes), walk down Rue du Marché-aux-Herbes towards the Grand Ducal Palace. Continue past the palace and take a left onto Rue du Saint-Esprit. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Boucherie. Turn right onto Rue de la Boucherie, which will take you down towards the Grund area. Continue onto Rue Plaetis, and the Melusina Statue will be located at 13 Rue Plaetis on your left.

    From the city center, take the tram from 'Luxembourg, Hamilius' towards 'Luxembourg, P+R Bouillon'. Get off at the 'Luxembourg, Ecole de Commerce' stop. From there, walk down Rue de l'Eau, and you will reach the river. Follow the riverbank until you get to the intersection with Rue Plaetis. Turn right onto Rue Plaetis, and the Melusina Statue will be located at 13 Rue Plaetis.
