Car
If you are traveling by car from Mamer Valley, start by heading southeast on Rue de la Gare toward Rue de Mamer. Continue on this road until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Route de Longwy/D1, following signs for Luxembourg City. After about 8 km, merge onto the A1 motorway toward Luxembourg City. Continue on the A1 for approximately 5 km, then take the exit toward N1/Luxembourg City Centre. Follow the signs for the city center, then follow Avenue de la Liberté, which will lead you directly to the Ville Haute area. Once in Ville Haute, look for Rue du St Esprit, where the Citadelle is located. There is parking available near the site, but be aware that there may be parking fees depending on the duration of your stay.

For those using public transportation, start at the nearest bus stop in Mamer Valley. Take bus line 10 (or the relevant line depending on your location) towards Luxembourg City. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Luxembourg, Gare' stop. From there, transfer to tram line T1 towards 'Luxembourg, Cloche d'Or' and get off at the 'Luxembourg, Hamilius' stop. From Hamilius, it is a short 10-minute walk to Citadelle du Saint-Esprit. Walk down Avenue de la Liberté, then turn left onto Rue du St Esprit. The Citadelle will be on your right. Be sure to check the local bus and tram schedules for any changes in times or routes.
