From Ranomafana National Park, head south on Route Nationale 25 (RN25) towards Fianarantsoa. Continue for about 39 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route Nationale 7 (RN7). Turn left onto RN7 and travel for approximately 15 kilometers. You'll see signs for Ambalavao. Look for the coordinates 5W6J+4QM, Ambalavao, which will guide you to the town center.

To reach Ambalavao from Ranomafana National Park, you can take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the nearest main road. Walk to the main entrance of the national park and wait for a taxi-brousse heading towards Fianarantsoa. The fare is usually around 10,000 MGA (Malagasy Ariary) and the journey will take about 1 hour. Once you reach Fianarantsoa, transfer to another taxi-brousse going to Ambalavao.
