    Start from Biddeford's downtown area. Head towards Main Street and walk northeast until you reach the intersection with Alfred Street. Turn left onto Alfred Street and continue walking until you reach the Saco River. Cross over the bridge to enter Saco. Once in Saco, continue straight until you reach Ocean Park Road. After crossing the road, follow the signs to Portland. Continue along the pedestrian path which will take you along the waterfront. After about 1.5 miles, you will reach Fore Street in Portland. Turn right onto Fore Street, and the United States Custom House will be on your left at 312 Fore St.

    From the Biddeford Bus Terminal, take the Greyhound or the local shuttle service heading to Portland. The journey should take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Portland Transportation Center, exit the terminal and head towards the bus stop located outside. Board the local bus (Metro Bus Route 1) heading towards Congress Street. After a few stops, get off at the 'Fore St & Commercial St' stop. Walk a short distance back on Fore Street, and you will find the United States Custom House at 312 Fore St.
