Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Kennebunkport, head northeast on Main St toward School St. Continue on Main St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 9. Turn left onto Route 9 and walk for approximately 1 mile. As you approach the bridge, keep walking straight until you reach Wild Rose Ln. Turn right onto Wild Rose Ln, and after about 0.2 miles, you will see the entrance to Fort Stark State Historic Site on your left.

    Starting from Dock Square in Kennebunkport, take Ocean Ave heading north. Continue on Ocean Ave for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 9. At the intersection, turn left onto Route 9 and ride for about 1 mile. When you see Wild Rose Ln, turn right and cycle down Wild Rose Ln for about 0.2 miles to reach Fort Stark State Historic Site, which will be on your left.

    Begin at the Kennebunkport Bus Stop located at 37 Main St. Take the local bus that heads towards New Castle. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Wild Rose Ln. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.2 miles up Wild Rose Ln, and you will find Fort Stark State Historic Site on your left.
