From any location in Washington County, head towards Route 1. If you are near Machias, take Route 1 North. Continue on Route 1 for about 20 miles until you reach the town of Jonesport. In Jonesport, turn right onto Route 187. Follow Route 187 for approximately 10 miles until you reach Beals Island. Once on Beals Island, continue to Wildflower Lane. The entrance to Great Wass Island Preserve is located at 39 Wildflower Lane, Beals, ME 04611.
