Getting There

• Walking

  Shadowpalm Tours is located in Maafushi, which is a small island easily navigable on foot. From most guesthouses or hotels on the island, it's likely a short walk to their office in Kashimaage, Ziyaarai Magu. As you walk, look for local landmarks and signs to guide you. The island is only about 1.5 kilometers long, so you can walk from one side to the other in about 30 minutes. There are no cars on the island, so walking is a pleasant and safe way to get around. No costs are associated with walking.

• Public Transport

  If arriving from Male, take the public ferry to Maafushi. The ferry costs approximately 30 MVR (Maldivian Rufiyaa), which is about $2 USD. The ferry journey takes around 90 minutes. From the Maafushi ferry terminal, Shadowpalm Tours is a short walk away. Note that the public ferry does not operate on Fridays. Upon arrival to the island, walking is the primary mode of transport.

• Speedboat

  For a faster option from Male, take a speedboat to Maafushi. Speedboats typically cost around $25 USD per person for a one-way trip. The journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Speedboats can be arranged through your hotel or guesthouse, or through companies like iCom Tours. From the Maafushi jetty where the speedboat arrives, Shadowpalm Tours is a short walk away. Upon arrival to the island, walking is the primary mode of transport.
