Getting There

  • Seaplane

The most common way to reach Amilla Maldives from Velana International Airport (MLE) near Malé is by seaplane. The resort arranges these transfers with Manta Air. Upon arrival at MLE, you'll be greeted and escorted to the Amilla lounge at the seaplane terminal. The scenic seaplane flight takes approximately 35 minutes. Seaplanes operate only during daylight hours, so arrivals after 3:00 PM may require an overnight stay in Malé or a domestic transfer. The round-trip seaplane transfer costs approximately US$850 per adult and US$450 per child (excluding taxes and service fee). These prices are subject to change and it is best to confirm the latest rates with the resort directly.

  • Domestic Flight and Speedboat

An alternative to the seaplane is a domestic flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) to Dharavandhoo Airport (DRV), followed by a 10-minute speedboat ride to Amilla. This option is recommended for guests arriving on late international flights or those who prefer not to travel by seaplane. Manta Air operates regular flights to Dharavandhoo. The round-trip domestic transfer costs approximately US$680 per adult and US$400 per child, subject to taxes and service charges. These prices are subject to change, so it's best to confirm the latest rates with the resort directly.

Discover more about Amilla Maldives

Amilla Maldives, formerly known as Amilla Fushi, is a five-star resort located in the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives. Opened in 2014, this Maldivian-owned and operated resort embraces a philosophy of 'Your Island Home,' offering a fresh take on conscious luxury. The island itself is one of the largest in the Maldives, with a low density of villas, ensuring that 70% of the island remains untouched, featuring lush greenery, leafy cycle tracks and secret beaches. Amilla boasts 67 spacious villas and residences, each designed to provide privacy and a sense of connection with nature. Accommodations range from overwater villas with direct access to the house reef to treetop pool villas offering a unique 'Tarzan and Jane' experience, and beach pool villas opening onto the pristine sands. For families and groups, the Residences provide ample space and privacy. The resort is committed to sustainability and environmental conservation, evident in its EarthCheck Silver certification and numerous eco-friendly initiatives. These include organic gardens that supply fresh produce for the restaurants, reef regeneration projects, and protection of nesting sites for local bird and turtle species. Guests can indulge in a variety of activities, from world-class snorkeling and scuba diving to dolphin cruises and manta ray snorkeling at nearby Hanifaru Bay. The Javvu Spa offers holistic therapies inspired by traditional healing practices, while the resort's restaurants showcase Mediterranean, Japanese, and Maldivian flavors with a focus on fresh, ethically-sourced ingredients. Amilla also provides complimentary non-motorized water sports, a kids club, and excursions to explore the local culture and marine environment.
