Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from central Malta Ridge, start by heading north on your main road until you reach the junction with Triq L-Istazzjon. Turn left onto Triq L-Istazzjon and continue for about 2 kilometers. Next, turn right onto Triq il-Kbira and follow it for another 3 kilometers. You'll pass through some beautiful countryside. As you approach Mellieħa, keep an eye out for signs leading to Għar Tuta. The coordinates for the location are X8GH+XCQ, Mellieħa. Look for a small parking area nearby, but be aware that parking may be limited.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take the bus from Malta Ridge to Mellieħa. Board Bus Number 41 from the main bus stop in Malta Ridge. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Mellieħa, disembark at the Mellieħa Church stop. From the bus stop, walk towards Triq il-Kbira and follow the signs for Għar Tuta. It is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, so wear comfortable shoes. The total cost for the bus fare is around €1.50.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to cycle, you can rent a bicycle in Malta Ridge. Head north towards Triq L-Istazzjon and follow the same route as the car guidance. The ride is about 5 kilometers and should take around 20-30 minutes. Please ensure to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic, especially as you approach Mellieħa. There may be bike racks available at Għar Tuta for you to secure your bike.
