Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Malta Ridge, head south on Ridge Road (Route 18) towards Route 31. Continue straight for about 5 miles until you reach I-390. Merge onto I-390 South and follow the signs for I-90 East. After approximately 45 miles, take exit 46 toward I-290 East. Continue on I-290 East for 6 miles, then merge onto I-90 East towards Albany. After about 80 miles, take exit 29 for NY-67 toward Malta. Merge onto NY-67 and continue for 5 miles. Follow the signs to Triq Il-Marfa Il-Mellieħa, and you will arrive at Għadira Nature Reserve, located at Triq Il-Marfa Il-Mellieħa, MLH 9064.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Għadira Nature Reserve via public transportation, start at your location in Malta Ridge and take a bus to the nearest major transport hub. You can catch a bus to Valletta from the Malta Ridge area, which may require a transfer. From Valletta, take bus route 101 or 103 towards Mellieħa. The bus will take you directly to Mellieħa, where you will disembark at the Mellieħa bus terminal. From there, it is a short walk to Triq Il-Marfa Il-Mellieħa. Follow the road signs towards Għadira Nature Reserve, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Be sure to check local bus schedules for exact timings and routes.
