Car
From Malta Ridge, head south on Malta Avenue towards NY-67. Turn left onto NY-67 and continue for approximately 5 miles. Merge onto I-87 S towards Albany and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 15 for NY-9N towards Lake George and follow the signs for NY-9N S. After about 10 miles, take exit 14 for I-87 S towards Albany. Continue for another 40 miles until you reach the outskirts of Valletta. Follow signs for Valletta and park at one of the public parking areas near the entrance of the city. From there, Lookout Point at St. Michael Bastion is within walking distance.

Begin your journey at Malta Ridge by taking a local bus that heads towards Schuylerville or Saratoga Springs, depending on the schedule. From Schuylerville, transfer to a bus heading towards Albany. Once in Albany, take a Greyhound or Trailways bus to Valletta, Malta. Upon arriving at the Valletta terminal, you will have a short walk to St. Michael Bastion. Follow the signs towards the city center and look for directions to the bastion. The entire public transport journey may take several hours, so plan accordingly.
