Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Mellieha, head towards the Mellieha Parish Church. Once you reach the church, head down the hill towards the main road (Triq il-Kbira). Turn left onto Triq il-Kbira. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq San Pawl. Keep walking straight until you reach the next roundabout. At this roundabout, take the exit onto Triq tal-Batterija. Follow this road until you reach Santa Marija Battery. It is located on your left, and you will see signs indicating the way to the battery.

  • Public Transport

    From the main bus stop in Mellieha, take bus number 101 towards Valletta. Get off at the stop for 'Mellieha Bay'. From there, walk towards the beach and then follow the walking path that heads uphill. This will lead you to Triq tal-Batterija. Once on this road, continue walking straight until you reach Santa Marija Battery, which will be on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you have a bicycle, start from the center of Mellieha and cycle towards the Mellieha Parish Church. From the church, take Triq il-Kbira and head towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq San Pawl and continue straight until the next roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit onto Triq tal-Batterija and cycle up this road until you reach Santa Marija Battery on your left. Be cautious as the road can be steep in places.
