From Mgarr ix-Xini, head towards the main road (Triq il-Mgarr). Follow the signs for Victoria. After approximately 3 km, you will arrive at the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Triq Sant' Anton and continue straight for about 1 km. You will reach another roundabout; take the second exit again onto Triq il-Belt. Follow this road until you see the Citadel on your left. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees which may apply. The walk from the parking area to Il-Bastjun ta San Mikiel is a short but scenic stroll through the Citadel.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, you can catch bus number 42 from Mgarr ix-Xini towards Valletta. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Victoria (Furjana) bus terminus. From there, follow signs leading to the Citadel, which is about a 15-minute walk. You will walk along Triq Il-Lunzjata and then up Triq il-Belt. There are no additional costs for walking; however, make sure to check the latest bus schedules for any changes in service.
