To reach Mdina from the center of Mgarr, start by heading southwest on Triq Il-Mithna toward Triq Il-Labour. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Triq Il-Knisja. Turn left onto Triq Il-Knisja and follow this road as it curves. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the edge of Mdina. Look for signs guiding you to the Main Gate of Mdina, which is the primary entrance to the city. The total walking distance is around 1.5 kilometers and should take you about 20-25 minutes.

To take public transport to Mdina, walk to the nearest bus stop at Mgarr Square, which is located just a few minutes from the center of Mgarr. Look for the bus routes heading towards Valletta or Rabat. The bus number 101 or 202 will take you directly to the Rabat bus terminal. The journey will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Rabat, follow the signs to Mdina, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal. Head north on Triq Il-Barracca, and you will reach the Main Gate of Mdina.
