    Start from the center of Zejtun, near the Zejtun Parish Church. Head north on Triq San Lucjan towards Triq il-Knisja. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Triq il-Linja. Turn left onto Triq il-Linja, and walk until you reach the bus stop for the 81 route. Take the bus towards Valletta, which should take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Valletta' stop near the City Gate. From there, follow the signs towards the Lower Barracca Garden. Continue walking towards Mediterranean Street and you will arrive at Fort St Elmo.

    From Zejtun, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Triq il-Knisja. Board the bus number 81 towards Valletta. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Valletta, disembark at the 'Valletta' bus terminus. From the terminus, head towards the City Gate, then follow the signs to Fort St Elmo, located on Mediterranean Street. It is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus terminus.
