Bus
From Annapolis, head to the nearest bus stop that services the Annapolis Transit. You can take the Route 70 bus towards Baltimore. Ride it to the Baltimore Arena, then transfer to the MARC Train at the Baltimore Penn Station towards Washington, DC. Get off at the Union Station stop. From Union Station, you can catch the DC Metro Red Line towards Glenmont and get off at the Farragut North station. From Farragut North, it is a short walk to Lafayette Square, which is located at Pennsylvania Ave NW & 16th St NW.
Train
Start at the Annapolis Amtrak Station. Take a train to Washington, DC. Once you arrive at the Washington Union Station, transfer to the DC Metro. Take the Red Line towards Glenmont and get off at Farragut North station. Lafayette Square is a brief walk from the Farragut North station, located at Pennsylvania Ave NW & 16th St NW.
Bicycle
If you're comfortable cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations around Annapolis. Head towards the B&A Trail, which leads you north towards Baltimore. Follow the trail until you reach the DC line. Once in DC, navigate towards the National Mall and then make your way to Lafayette Square at Pennsylvania Ave NW & 16th St NW. Be cautious of traffic and use bike lanes wherever possible.
Walking
Although it is quite a distance, if you're up for a long walk, you can start from downtown Annapolis. Head west towards the Route 50 bridge and cross over to Maryland Route 295. Follow the signs that lead you towards Washington, DC. Once you reach the city, navigate towards the National Mall area and make your way to Lafayette Square at Pennsylvania Ave NW & 16th St NW. This option is only for the most adventurous!
