Getting There

• Walking

  From downtown Annapolis, head towards West Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with State Circle. Turn left onto State Circle and walk around the circle. Continue past the Maryland State House, and follow the road as it curves onto Duke of Gloucester Street. Keep walking until you reach the waterfront. Cross the bridge towards the Annapolis City Dock and then take a right onto Main Street. Follow Main Street until it becomes Church Circle. From there, head northwest towards the U.S. Naval Academy, then continue on to the nearest bus stop for the D.C. Metro bus towards Washington, D.C.

• Public Transport

  From the Annapolis bus terminal, take the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) bus route 70 heading towards Baltimore. This bus will take you directly to the New Carrollton Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Orange Line towards Vienna/Fairfax-GMU. After 10 stops, get off at the Smithsonian Metro Station. Exit the station and walk towards the National Mall. Head northwest towards the National Archives and continue walking until you reach the Signers' Memorial at 20004 Washington, D.C.

• Biking

  Rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing stations in downtown Annapolis. Begin your ride by heading south on Main Street, then take a left onto the scenic waterfront path. Follow the path along the Chesapeake Bay until you reach the east-side of the city. From there, take the B&A Trail heading north. This trail will eventually lead you to the Annapolis Junction, where you can catch a train or bus to Washington, D.C. Ensure to check the train schedule in advance to coordinate your arrival at the Signers' Memorial.
