    From the Annapolis city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on West Street. Board the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) bus route 70 towards Washington, D.C. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Greenbelt Metro Station, transfer to the Green Line Metro towards Branch Avenue. Get off at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Smithsonian Metro Line towards New Carrollton and get off at the National Gallery of Art. Walk west towards the Mall for about 10 minutes until you reach the United States Botanic Garden located at 100 Maryland Ave SW.

    If you have access to a bicycle, head towards the B&A Trail from downtown Annapolis, which connects you to the scenic Baltimore-Annapolis Trail. Follow the trail north towards the BWI Airport and then take the bike route towards Washington, D.C. Upon reaching D.C., navigate south towards the National Mall. The United States Botanic Garden is located at 100 Maryland Ave SW, which is just a short ride from the National Mall.
