Getting There

  • Metro

    From Bethesda, head to the Bethesda Metro Station located on Wisconsin Ave. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Ride for 6 stops (approximately 15 minutes) and get off at the Foggy Bottom-GWU Station. After exiting the Metro, walk towards 23rd Street NW and turn left. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with K Street NW. Turn right onto K Street NW and continue until you reach the waterfront.

  • Bus

    At the Bethesda Transit Center, take the Ride On Bus Route 34 towards Silver Spring. Get off at the stop 'Wisconsin Ave & M St NW' (about 20 minutes). From there, walk towards the waterfront by heading southwest on M Street NW. Continue until you reach Water Street NW, where you will find Georgetown Waterfront Park.

  • Walking

    If you are already in downtown Bethesda, walk towards Wisconsin Ave and head south until you reach the intersection with Woodmont Ave. Turn left on Woodmont Ave and continue walking until you reach the Bethesda Metro Station. From there, follow the guidance for the Metro as outlined above.

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Bethesda. Start at the Bethesda bike station and head south on Wisconsin Ave. Follow the bike lanes and head towards the Rock Creek Park Trail.
