Metro
From any location in Bethesda, find the nearest Metro station, which is the Bethesda Metro Station on the Red Line. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Ride the train for about 9 stops, which will take approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the Farragut North station. Once you exit the station, walk 2 blocks south on 17th Street NW until you reach Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Turn left and walk 3 blocks east to 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, where you will find the White House Visitor Center.

Bus
Catch the Ride On Bus 38 or 46 at any bus stop in Bethesda. Both routes will take you towards the Friendship Heights Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Metro and take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Ride for 3 stops and get off at the Farragut North station. Walk 2 blocks south on 17th Street NW to Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Turn left and walk 3 blocks east to arrive at the White House Visitor Center, located at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, start at the Bethesda Metro Station and head southeast on Wisconsin Avenue toward Bradley Boulevard. Continue until you reach the intersection with River Road and then follow River Road south until you reach the intersection with Massachusetts Avenue. Follow Massachusetts Avenue southeast until you merge onto 15th Street NW. Continue on 15th Street and then turn left onto Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Continue walking for a few blocks, and you will find the White House Visitor Center at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.
